Hi, I’m looking for an occasional evening babysitter for my children, mainly so I can have a couple of hours to myself once in a while.

The children will usually be getting ready for bed/going to bed around 7:30–8pm, so I’d normally be looking for someone from around 7:30pm until 10pm. Occasionally I may need someone until around 11pm or midnight, depending on what I’m doing, but I would always agree the hours with you in advance.

The main thing I need is for an adult to be in the house while I’m out. Once the children are asleep, there wouldn’t normally be much to do other than being here in case they wake up.

I also want to be completely upfront that I have home security cameras in the house. They are visible and will remain on while I’m out, as this is something I need for my own peace of mind and for the safety of my children. I would let you know exactly where the cameras are before the first booking. If the system records audio as well as video, I would also make that clear to you before you agree to the booking.

I completely understand that not everyone is comfortable with being recorded, so I’d rather be very straightforward about it from the beginning. If that’s something you’re comfortable with, I’d be happy to have a chat about your experience, availability, rates and references/DBS.

I’m looking for someone reliable who I can hopefully use occasionally on an ongoing basis rather than needing full-time childcare.
