My Experience

I have 28 years of experience working with children and young people in education and childcare, including 25 years at the same secondary school. My roles have included Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Deputy SENCo and Assistant Head for SEND and Transition.

I have extensive experience supporting children with a wide range of needs, including special educational needs, communication difficulties, emotional needs and social difficulties. I have also supported and supervised teaching assistants and worked closely with families and other professionals.

I am patient, calm, trustworthy and compassionate, and I understand that every child is different. I believe in helping children feel safe, valued and confident while making sure they are happy and well cared for. Although much of my professional experience has been in a school setting, my skills are transferable to family childcare, and I would love to support parents who need a reliable, experienced and caring person to look after their children.

* Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
* NNEB qualification in childcare
* Level 3 Safeguarding Training
* CPT3A – Assessment and Access Arrangements
* Training and experience in psychometric assessment
* Extensive professional experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

I also have many years of practical experience supporting children’s learning, emotional wellbeing, communication and individual development. My background includes working with children with a wide range of additional needs and providing tailored support to help them thrive.

My Availability

I am available Monday to Thursday and can offer flexible childcare at the following times:

• Before school – morning routines and getting children ready for school.
• Mornings – childcare and activities for younger children.
• Afternoons – playtime, activities and general childcare.
• After school – school collections, snacks, homework and after-school care.
• Evenings – babysitting to allow parents to work, enjoy an evening out or attend appointments.

I am happy to discuss individual family requirements and agree arrangements that suit both parties.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)

My fees are based on the type of childcare required, the hours involved and the individual needs of each family. I am happy to discuss your requirements and agree arrangements in advance. My aim is to provide reliable, experienced and flexible childcare at a fair rate.
