After‑school SEN support & mother’s help
About Me
I’m a mum in Chesham looking for someone warm, patient, and SEN aware to support my 4 years old son at home after school. He’s bright, energetic, and feels safest with gentle routines and someone who can tune into his cues. He enjoys simple, fun activities — sensory play, water play, building things, and little games that help him regulate and enjoy himself. I’m always present during sessions, and our home is a cosy, supportive family space. Clear communication and gentle structure matter to us, but just as important is having someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with him and is happy to blend light mother’s help with direct support.
My Requirements
Small, steady weekly hours: 6–8 hours a week after school across Tue, Wed and Thu.
The role is home based and includes:
- Calm, structured time with my son: simple play, sensory activities, helping him feel regulated
- Light mother’s help: supporting me with small tasks around his routine, transitions, or activities
- Routine support to help keep his afternoons predictable and enjoyable
Experience with SEN is helpful but not essential if you’re naturally patient, observant, and open to learning what works for him. I’m always happy to guide and share anything you need to feel confident.
