# Experienced Nanny Wanted – Horsham, West Sussex

**Start date:** January/February 2027
**Hours:** Monday–Friday, 8am–5:30pm, with occasional evening babysitting (approximately once a month)
**Salary:** Competitive, dependent on experience

We are looking for a warm, reliable and experienced nanny to care for our two children, who will be **two and four years old**, in our family home in Horsham, West Sussex.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children, is proactive and organised, and can provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where our children can thrive.

### The role

- Providing attentive, loving care for our two children, aged two and four.
- Planning age-appropriate activities, play and outings.
- Supporting the children's development, daily routines, meals and naps.
- Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children and cleaning up afterwards, including washing up and wiping down kitchen surfaces.
- Managing the children's laundry, including washing, drying, folding and putting clothes away.
- Keeping the children's bedrooms, play areas and belongings tidy and organised.
- Taking the children to local activities and outings as appropriate.
- Communicating openly with us about the children's day, routines and development.
- Providing occasional evening babysitting, approximately once a month, by prior arrangement.

### Essential requirements

- **Current, satisfactory DBS check** (or willingness to obtain an appropriate check before starting).
- **Full, clean UK driving licence.**
- Previous experience caring for young children.
- Reliable, trustworthy, punctual and professional.
- Able to provide references from previous childcare employers or families.

### Ideally, you will also have

- A **Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent**.
- Current **paediatric first aid certification**.
- Experience caring for two young children simultaneously.
- A warm, patient and engaging approach, with a genuine interest in early years development.

We are open to discussing part-time or full-time arrangements with the right candidate, although our preference is for consistent weekday childcare.
