My Summary

My Experience

I have over four years of professional childcare experience, including nursery work, nannying and regular babysitting. I hold a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification and have cared for children ranging from 5 months to 14 years old. Throughout my career, I’ve supported children at different stages of their development, adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs and personality.

My childcare journey began in a nursery, where I cared for children aged 5 months to 4 years while completing my Level 2 qualification. During this time, I gained hands on experience with nappy changing, potty training, preparing snacks and meals, supporting nap times, planning activities and helping children reach important developmental milestones. I later returned to nursery work after a couple year gap with nannying. caring for children aged 3–4 years, where I planned engaging activities in line with the EYFS, encouraged learning through play and helped create a safe, happy and nurturing environment.

Alongside my nursery experience, I’ve worked as a nanny for several families with children of different ages. My responsibilities have included school runs, preparing healthy meals and snacks, helping with homework, organising fun and educational activities, supporting bedtime routines and caring for children during school holidays. I’ve enjoyed planning outings to parks, activity groups, soft play centres and other local attractions to keep children active, engaged and learning outside the home. In one of my roles, I also carried out light household duties while the children were at school to help support the family.

In addition to my nannying roles, I have provided regular babysitting for families with children of various ages. This has included evening babysitting, overnight stays and accompanying children on day trips. I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident leaving their children with someone they trust, so I always aim to provide a caring, reliable and safe environment where children feel comfortable, supported and happy.

I genuinely love working with children and enjoy watching them grow in confidence, develop new skills and have fun. I pride myself on being patient, kind, organised and dependable, and I always strive to build positive relationships with both the children I care for and their families.

My Qualifications

During my apprenticeship I got my level 2 early years practitioner qualification. Some other qualifications/ training I have done are level 2 food hygiene and safety for catering, advanced safeguarding children level 2, full paediatrics first aid (12hr). Oral health 1hour. And I’m hoping to do more courses and training to get more experienced.
