Night Nanny Job In Harpenden
About Me
We are a happy family of 3 (two parents and a soon-to-be 3 year old) seeking a Night Nanny to support us for several weeks when we welcome a newborn this summer.
My Requirements
Night Nanny Required — Hertfordshire | Newborn | June/July Start
We're a warm, busy family in Hertfordshire expecting our second baby in mid-June, and we're looking for an experienced night nanny to support us from around late June through to mid-August (approximately 8–10 weeks, 4–5 nights per week).
We have a wonderful toddler at home as well, though the night nanny role is purely focused on our newborn — you'd be taking the lead overnight so that we can rest and function well during the day.
About the role:
- Overnight care of a newborn, typically around 10pm–7am
- Settling, feeding support (we're open to discussing breast vs. bottle), nappy changes and soothing
- Keeping a simple log of feeds and sleep so we can spot patterns
- Helping us build good sleep habits from the start
About you:
- Proven experience as a newborn specialist or night nanny
- Paediatric first aid certified (current)
- Non-smoker with own transport
- Calm, reliable, and confident working independently through the night
- Someone who respects that every family does things a little differently
We're a two-career household and we take sleep seriously — we used a structured approach with our first and it worked brilliantly, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable supporting a routine-led method from the early days.
If this sounds like the right fit, we'd love to hear from you. Please get in touch with a bit about your experience and your availability from late June.
