My name is Sarah and I am a mother of 1 to my son isaac who is 9 years.
I have over 20 years experience working with children and their families. Currently I am a registered childminder and also work for Sense as a family support worker.
I provide a safe nurturing and fun environment for all children. The children at Mama Bear Childminding enjoy a full and enriched curriculum that meets individual needs. Each day the children attend forrest school.stay and play and soft play. This is where all children thrive as they have the space,freedom and the resource to learn and explore.
Furthermore, i have extensive knowledge,experience and qualifications in working with children with special needs.
I have recently been inspected by ofstead and have been rated good.

I have full and part time places available for immediate start. I am also registered for overnight care.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.00 per hour
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I charge 6.00 per hour which includes freshly prepared nutrious meals and snacks.
My open hours are 7am to 7pm Mon to Sat and overnight care.

My 3‑year‑old daughter has been with Sarah for a while now, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the care she provides. Sarah creates such a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment that my daughter looks forward to every single day.
What really stands out is the variety of activities Sarah offers. She takes the children outdoors regularly, from parks and playgrounds to forest school sessions, giving them plenty of fresh air, exploration, and hands‑on learning. She also meets up with other childminders, which means the children get to socialise, build friendships, and develop confidence in different settings.
Indoors, Sarah is just as creative. My daughter comes home with lovely crafts, new skills, and endless stories about what she’s learned. The balance between outdoor adventures, social activities, and creative play is perfect.
Sarah is patient, kind, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing. I feel completely at ease knowing my daughter is in such caring and capable hands. I couldn’t recommend Sarah more highly, she is truly an exceptional childminder.

Sarah is an excellent childminder extremely nurturing, caring and dedicated. Since my son has been in her care he has come on so much often coming home singing new songs. Sarah provides a wide range of engaging activities from Forrest school, soft play and fun trips to the zoo. Sarah also cooks a wide range of homemade fresh meals which is a huge bonus.
Choosing Sarah means you can feel confident that your child will be well cared for, supported and genuinely loved.

Sarah looked after our 1 year old 1 day a week for a few months, and we were so happy with the care she provided. Our daughter had loads of fun with her, they went out on loads of outings and I felt very safe leaving her in Sarah's hands. Thank you for providing such lovely warm care :)

Sarah is professional and friendly, she is experienced and dedicated to providing a high standard of care. I really like how she plans outside activities like forest school and library trips every day, and cooks from scratch for the children. I also like that she is competent with using sign language because I think this is beneficial for all chilldren. If you are looking for a childminder in the local area definitely consider her before she gets too busy!
