Hello Parents/Carers!
My name is Amelia and I am a friendly, enthusiastic childcare provider based in the Croydon/Beckenham area.
I am from a mixed Jamaican and English background and currently trying to pick up a new language; Swedish!
I am a creative individual who loves all things arts and crafts, nature and baking!
I have a genuine interest in working with children and delivering and excellent level of care, approaching each child as an individual whom I get to help grow and teach.
Additionally, I have a clear and detailed understanding of the EYFS, which allows me to encourage growth in all 7 areas of development for your little one and also explain these key stages and milestones to you if you wish.

My Experience
I am currently working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and have been working with children aged 6 months to 5 years for 3.5 years now.
I have experience delivering education with ‘The Curiosity Approach’, similar to Montessori, and offer a gentle nannying style.
I am fully trained for paediatric first aid, and also have knowledge and experience working with children who have additional needs.
My Qualifications
I am currently working towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
I hold an enhanced DBS and would be happy to share this documentation with you.
I have been working with children for nearly 4 years now and have been introduced to ‘The Curiosity Approach’ in the last 3 years.
In the setting I work at throughout the week, I implement this, delivering education to the children in my care using authentic resources and allowing the children to expand their knowledge of the world and offering real life skills.
I hold certificates for Paediatric First Aid, Child Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and SEND training.
My Availability
Currently, I work in a nursery setting from Monday to Thursday each week.
I am available from Friday to Sunday, or later evenings in the week (8pm onwards).
I offer both regular, set days and short term babysitting for when you just need a little time to yourself/have appointments or special occasions to attend, so please do not hesitate to send me a message asking for availability within the same week or asking for another parent you know who may require some last minute babysitting.
At present, I am only able to take jobs that require me to look after your little one from your own home setting or outings during the day.
For very late evening jobs or overnight jobs, a travel fee is required.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.50 per hour
My fees are currently set at £10.50 per hour based on one child.
I am open to discussion about fees based on the frequency of booking, amount of children and booking over multiple days in a week or overnight.
