About Me
I enjoy building the relationship with people and it is very rewarding to see people being happy and the children grow and develop. My great interest in working with children began during my stay in Germany, where I looked after the family of a German musician. This interest grew especially when I found using creative activities such as art and play which not only engaged the children but seemed to help them when they were tired, emotionally distressed, or when we were traveling with their parent's concerts. I also loved helping the children with their homework- I continue these activities with the children of the English families I now work for. Much of my work is in multicultural settings.
My Experience
Private residence housekeeping/cleaning, gardening, cooking for children, child-care and baby-sitting services as required. I have recently qualified as a child and adolescent counsellor by using seven arts. I have done my placement in a special needs school. I am teaching the Polish Language to some of my client's children. I am also doing voluntary work as a reading mentor in a school. Help the child individually by reading books together, talking, and playing games. Select books that the child can enjoy and read successfully, and encourage the child to make choices during the session.
