About Me
I run "Bright Sparks Childminding Service - Hamilton", with several years experience of childminding and a mother myself. I have a 10 year old son and 9 year old step daughter, and have experience with autism, diabetes, ADHD, Down Syndrome and other additional needs.

2+ years childminding in the Western Isles and have registered again in June 2023 in the South Lanarkshire area of Hamilton.

Trained as a childminder in the Western Isles. First Aid and food & hygiene trained
My Availability
Available for morning drop offs at local schools and nurseries (Woodlands, Woodhead, Woodside, Neilsland, St Peters etc but ask about others within a 2-3 mile radius of ML3). I also have preschool spaces (mornings until 2pm currently). I will also where possible, allow flexibility contracts provided their is flexibility on both sides.
I am an ELC Funded Provider and can offer the 1140 hours for 3-5yrs or for 2 years, as well as funded hours for babies when it comes to Scotland. I am currently full on my pre-schoolers and won't have any spaces until at least August 2026, at which point I would have space for a 3 year old to blend in with the others who will be the same age.
I do afterschool for which I am very popular as I'm not a stay in the house childminder and we often frequent parks, soft plays, bowling, trampoline parks etc which is covered in your daily fee as well as snacks afterschool. There is currently a waiting list for spaces.
During the school holiday, I work the full 5 days and we like to go further afield to farms, zoos, beaches and country parks and estates. As I allow flexibility in the school holidays, I may have spaces over the Summer/ Easter/ October etc.

Half day preschool to 2:20ish: £35
All day care/ school holidays: £55
Prices include all excursions and activities, snacks and meals (excluding dinner)

Claire is our morning drop off childminder continuously since the September '23. She is very well organised, always has interesting activities and educating fun toys to play with. My children are very keen to go to Claire's even though it is early in the morning. Her service is above and beyond. Apart from what is included in the service she is organising extra parties and activities free of charge on special occasions like Christmas or Halloween as she caries about her little customers very much. I wish she wasn't fully booked for the afternoon care as I know she take children to many different places like parks, soft plays, parties. They rarely spend time indoors! She has competitive prices as well.

Claire has been amazing with my son who has additional support needs. Claire has went the extra mile to gain the qualifications to help support my child in her group and has ensured that he has any equipment needed to help in any after school activities. In the holidays my child is out every day with Claire to different places that he would not normally get to visit. When my child is not out and about Claire ensures that he is busy with different arts and crafts and my son always brings his projects home to show them off to us. The joy on my son’s face when he comes home from Claire’s confirms that he is in a safe and enjoyable environment. 5 stars all the way.

I have been using Claire's service for nearly 2 years.
She goes above and beyond, and as well as her normal services, provides extra treat days, pictures, pantomimes lots of other activities, never missed a child's birthday without a treat day, going out for lunch, and of course a birthday cake.
She provides lots of variations with days out, snow tubing, play parks,, kelburn castle, too many too name. She is a passionate and caring and I can not express how she supports myself and grandson and how grateful to have found her and her amazing service xx
