I worked in a private nursery for 11 months. I worked 40 hours a week, looking after babies toddlers and pre-schoolers, I worked with toddlers for 9 months which I thoroughly enjoyed, they have such a huge imagination. I then moved to a baby room where the atmosphere was different and it was a new experience of learning where babies needed more attention and different areas of play. Every day I set up messy play, marking-making, painting, and sticking activities. I would often ask the children what they would like to play with and they would help me set it up or I would accommodate their needs. My main responsibilities were to ensure kids were kept safe, fed, and changed. Parent partnership is very important as you should have a strong connection with the parent as you do with the child.
