My name is Hannah, I'm 30 years old, an actor, and live in North London. I have childcare experience, am DBS checked, and have two much younger siblings who I regularly look after. I am starting a tour of a play from the beginning of September to the middle of February, but am currently completely free and available until the end of August.
I also have experience running educational play workshops for young children where I organise games, activities, and projects for both physical and mental agility.
I am proactive, practical, enthusiastic, and extremely caring. I love planning day trips for children to museums and galleries and even theatre trips. As a professional actor, some things I can bring that other nannies may not, are a sense of play, a delight in story telling, and a proficiency in imaginary play.
My Experience
2022 Children’s Workshop Leader at Infinite Jest
My role at Infinite Jest required me to plan activities, games, and projects, not only for fun, but also to encourage our young people to step out of their comfort zone socially, mentally, and physically. My duties included meticulous organisation and planning, overseeing breaks and meals, and caring for and engaging up to 20 young people occasionally completely on my own.
Between 2014 and now I have been working as an actor. My job as an actor has given me particular skills in storytelling, listening, play, imagination, and empathy - all skills I believe essential for child care. I have also had the pleasure of working with young people on stage and on screen, from ages 4-14. I have often been left in sole charge of these young actors backstage and on set, and know I have a particular proficiency, not only for care, but also for making up games to keep young people engaged.
2014 Nanny/childminder for a family in Islington
My responsibilities included picking up the child from school, supervising homework, cooking dinner, playtime, dressing-up, bath-time and bedtime reading.
