About Me

We are a busy, slightly untidy family in a house full of books and art. My husband and I both work largely from home, he running his own business and me advising on net zero policy (though I'm also trying to write my secondbook, which is going slowly). When we have any spare time we like to swim at Jesus Green Lido (very near our house), read and watch the usual boxsets. We have two children: Hector is seven (just finishing Yr 2), and Ishbel is four (about to start Reception) - both are Scottish names. Hector is a bright and cheerful boy who loves learning and often has to be told several times to stop reading after bedtime! He is diagnosed with AuDHD which means that he struggles with disappointment and to turn on his listening ears when he is hyperfocussed on something he enjoys like drawing. Ishbel is both sweetly mischievous and extremely kind and loving, and gives excellent cuddles. She adores books, as well as rainbows, unicorns, purple, pink and fairies.
