About Me
Hello! I'm Emily, but everyone calls me Em! I'm 37, born and raised in Helston where I live with my partner, our 2 children (almost 14 and 6½ yrs old) plus our very cute but grumpy cat. By day, I am an Early Years Educator looking after children from 0-5 years, but at weekends, I can usually be found down at the beach with my family or enjoying National Trust walks and gardens. I consider myself to be very nurturing and have a passion for all things early years, from snuggling down with a story to getting messy with sensory play. Any questions, please ask!
My Experience
I have my own experience as a mum to my 2 children however, in my current job role, I also have experience with children from 0-5 years old, carrying out daily tasks such as comforting, preparing bottles/food, feeding, changing, putting down for naps etc. I also organise the day to day activities, monitoring and enhancing children's development as well as oversee and implement safeguarding responsibilities.
Since working in my job role, I have also gained experience with supporting families and their children with SEN.
My Qualifications
I hold a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification, updated paediatric first aid, level 1 food hygiene, allergy training, and have a Level 3 Early Years SENCo qualification. I am also DBS checked.
My Availability
I am available during the weekends, however, with enough notice I will do my best to facilitate weekday/evening requirements.
