About Me

After 26 years in the childcare field, I am happy to say that I still absolutely love what I do!
I can't imagine a more satisfying or rewarding role - even on those days when I'm surviving on very little sleep!
As a maternity nurse,  I am more of a Tracey Hogg than Gina Ford let's say!
Every child I've cared for has been amazing but all of them different, which is why, though I believe a routine is essential, I think each routine should be tailored to suit the particular child as well as The families needs.
I've worked with all manner of different families over the years and I've learnt to be very patient, flexible and discreet. I know when to give extra help and support to a nervous new mum and when to retreat and leave a family in peace. 
Around the home I find that a 'muck in' attitude works best and find it easy to adapt to new surroundings without feeling uncomfortable.
if in doubt I use my initiative although I am more than happy to ask questions if I am unsure of what is expected of me.
Nothing daunts me! I enjoy solving the different challenges a baby may present and helping them and their families to settle into life at home as smoothly as possible.
