About Me
Hi! My name is Amelia and I study English and Creative Writing at Newcastle University. I am a regular childminder and babysit several times a week. I have experience working with SEN children, including ASD, ADHD, ESL and children with physical disabilities. I’m friendly, easy-going and extroverted, and find what I do incredibly rewarding :)
I also provide in person and online tutoring. I have 8 GCSEs and 3 A Levels, but predominantly tutor KS3 and A Level English and PE. I speak Spanish at a lower Intermediate level and am very musical- I play guitar and piano. As a student, I am looking for part time work only, and not weekends.
My Experience
Self employed tutor, work part time with tutoring company. Worked as a qualified swimming teacher with young children for several years, so have a well rounded skill set for babysitting and engaging with kids.

After a few months Amelia taught my daughter, my DD’s maths has been greatly improved and she has started to gain more confidence and interest towards solving mathematical questions! The change’s amazing!

Needed help with our 8yo. Amelia did a wonderful job. Our kid had great time playing, talking and having fun. Highly recommend!

Amelia has been looking after my 4 children on two occasions and she was amazing. They had a great time together, drawing and painting. I would love to see her again. She dropped off and picked up my daughter from school as well. I highly recommend her!

Amelia has been fantastic with my two young sons aged 8 & 4, she helped us with childminding throughout the school holidays (both short days & long days) and we found her to be mature but fun, engaging & very hands on with the boys. They’d play games & puzzles, she would talk with them while drawing or playing Playdoh, had a great attitude to her responsibility as a childminder …I really appreciated that interaction is obviously important to her.
I can’t recommend her highly enough - we’ve asked her to get in touch with us when she is available next summer.
