My Summary
About Me
I’m a warm, bubbly and caring person who has always loved being around children. I come from a big family of 11 siblings, so family has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve grown up surrounded by children and have spent lots of time with my nieces and nephews, helping out and watching their little personalities grow.
I’m naturally quite creative and have always said the messier the play, the better! I love coming up with creative activities that children can really get stuck into, whether that’s messy and sensory play, painting, arts and crafts, baking or exploring outdoors. I love seeing children use their imagination and giving them the freedom to explore, create and, most importantly, have fun.
Outside of childcare, I’m quite a cosy and creative person. I love reading, colouring, playing The Sims, spending time outdoors and being around animals. I’m a big nature lover too, so I’d happily spend a day taking the children to the park, exploring outdoors, looking for bugs, visiting a farm or simply getting muddy in the garden!
I’m currently completing my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and I’m paediatric first aid trained with an enhanced DBS. I’d love to find a family that I can build a genuine relationship with and become someone their children feel happy, comfortable and safe around. For me, nannying isn’t just about looking after children I want to make their days fun, support them as they grow and create lots of lovely memories along the way.
My Experience
I have over 4 years of childcare experience working across a range of nursery and early years settings, caring for children from around 9 months to 5 years old. Throughout my experience, I’ve worked with babies, toddlers and preschool-aged children and have become confident adapting my care to suit each child’s age, personality, interests and individual stage of development.
In my current nursery role, I provide hands-on care throughout the day, including supporting mealtimes, nappy changes, hygiene, transitions and daily routines. I also plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that encourage children’s creativity, confidence, independence and fine and gross motor development.
I also have experience as a key person, carrying out observations, tracking children’s progress and contributing to reports. I really enjoy getting to know each child individually and using their interests to create engaging activities and learning opportunities.
Alongside my nursery work, I’ve babysat for a handful of children from the nurseries I’ve worked in, which has given me experience caring for children both in a nursery setting and within their own home. I’m comfortable adapting to different family routines and understand that caring for a child at home can be very different from caring for them within a nursery environment.
I’m currently completing my Level 3 Childcare & Education qualification and am nearly finished, and I also have First Aid training.
I’m now excited to bring the experience and knowledge I’ve gained in nurseries into nannying, where I can provide more individualised care and build a close, consistent and trusting relationship with a child and their family.
