Welcome to K’s Home Nursery
Hello, my name is Kirstie and I run my childminding service through an Ofsted-registered agency, offering high-quality care from my family home in the Hilperton area of Trowbridge. I live with my partner and our three children, aged 15, 11, and 3 years.
I am fully trained in paediatric first aid and hold a current enhanced DBS check, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every child in my care.
At K’s Home Nursery, I pride myself on creating a warm, welcoming, and stimulating “home-from-home” environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to learn through play. I offer a rich and enabling setting designed to support every child’s individual development and unlock their full potential.
Children enjoy healthy, balanced snacks with access to fresh water throughout the day. We have a secure outdoor space for play and exploration, and we make regular outings to local parks, toddler groups, the library, and nature walks along the canal and surrounding fields.
Parents have full access to their child’s learning journey via a secure app, where you can view daily activities, updates, and important information at your convenience.
I offer year-round care and provide local school drop-off and pick-up services for Staverton School and Nestlings Pre-School.

My Experience
I originally studied childcare at college and have since gained over 13 years of hands-on experience as a mother. Alongside raising my own children, I have also provided regular babysitting for friends and family, further strengthening my understanding of children’s needs and development.
I have a solid knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, including the seven areas of learning, and use this to support each child’s growth and development in a nurturing, play-based environment.
All of my training has been successfully completed through my Ofsted-registered agency, and I am committed to continuing my professional development by undertaking regular training to enhance my skills and keep up to date with best practices in early years care.
My Qualifications
have successfully completed all required training through my Ofsted-approved agency, including full paediatric first aid certification. I am committed to ongoing professional development and will continue to complete any additional training courses that I feel will enhance my knowledge, skills, and the quality of care I provide.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I accept all government funding schemes and childcare vouchers.
Children are provided with healthy snacks and drinks throughout the day. I kindly ask that parents supply a packed lunch for their child.
My standard rate is £6.00 per hour with a minimum booking of 5 hours.
Wraparound care is available at a rate of £5.50 per hour.
