I am a conscientious and caring individual, with a love for working with children. I enjoy being creative, making activities and games to play with children, which allows me to generate a positive bond with them. I am currently studying a Masters degree in Speech and Language Therapy and therefore have an interest in working with and supporting children with SEND. I live in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire and am looking for work nearby. I hold a full UK driving licence and am happy to use this for travel.
My Experience
I have over 5 years experience working with children, from educational settings to home settings. I have been a nanny for a family of young children for over 4 years, which has included; school drop off and pick ups, making dinners, taking them to clubs, staying overnight and going on holidays with them. I have also worked in an after-school club for 2 years, which has been with older children. Additionally, I have lots of experience in schools during my university studies, working as a TA, SLTA and MSA. I often babysit in the evenings and over school holidays.
My Qualifications
I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Speech and Language Sciences at UCL, London. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in Education from the University of York, as well as 3 A-Levels. I am trained in First Aid Essentials, Safeguarding, Child Protection, ACE's, and level 1 Food Hygiene. I hold a full UK driver's licence and am fully DBS checked.
