About Me
Hello I’m Hope I’m 40 years old and I’m a holistic nanny with loads experience both as a teacher and a nanny.
I have worked in Steiner education as a hand work teacher, most recently at St Pauls Steiner school, I love the rhythm of the Waldorf day and have a passion for sharing a calm and nurturing environment with the children i care for. I have a true passion for child development and base alot of my activities around the changing seasons of nature.
I am interested in permaculture, growing my own food, walking the dogs, working with herbs and using natural flower dyes from plants I grow from seed. I take great pleasure in sharing these beautiful ancient crafts with the children i guardian.
I run workshops across festivals, homeschooling groups and schools teaching nature based traditional crafts. Including knitting, hand spinning, wool processing, printing, embroidery etc. All of my workshops start with mindfulness in nature exercises and beautiful grounding breathing techniques. I have a background in fashion, styling and prop making and use these valuable skills to create wonderful immersive experiences for all ages.
I have worked with young children and also those ages 6 plus, so I a happy to work with any age range.
I am looking for a family that I can bring something unique to through my experience in childcare and immersive crafts, child development and age appropriate activities.
I am fully dbs checked and have training in safeguarding and first aid. I also have many references uploaded here covering both teaching and nannying.
I have studied mindfulness for children in nature teacher training and am awaiting my certificate.
