About Me

Dear Families,
My name is Reka, I’m a nanny with 11 years experience, DBS check and First Aid certificate. I’m looking for a part-time, live-out position, ideally 3 full days per week, but I’d consider 4 days as well.
My priority is to raise happy, content and independent little people. I’m quite outdoorsy, so I like to spend lots of time in the woods or parks. I’m caring, warm, patient and responsible and I’m sensitive for children’s needs and feelings. I’m gentle and calm, but also ready to have fun and laugh with the children until our tummies hurt. :)
I’m experienced with responsive/gentle parenting android I have knowledge of Steiner and Montessori education. I don’t use technology around children and I’m keen on keeping up their general curiosity about the world around them. I prefer to keep a gentle routine with flexibility and space to adjust if life happens. I believe music is important and very beneficial from a young age, I sing a lot and I’m happy to take your little one(s) to a music class nearby. I’m happy to take children to different activities, classes, parks, playgrounds, library, softplay, do yoga and organise playdates. However I don’t believe in too much stimulation and I try to create a rythym for the day where there’s space for inhaling and exhaling, which means every active perod is followed by a calm and relaxing period, so children don’t get overstimulated, they stay balanced and ready to have fun after a bit of rest. I’m familiar with traditional, vegetarian and vegan diet as well. My English is fluent and I have right to work in the UK.
In my personal life I enjoy contemporary art, music, good books, yoga and I’m interested in naturopathy and alternative therapies.
I can be flexible about days and times, especially if you can provide a bit of flexibility as well, however I’d like to have Fridays off. Unfortunately I can’t accept after-school positions, as I’m looking for full/almost full days. I’m happy around pets in the house and willing to walk a dog.
I live below Alexandra Palace, so I’m looking for a family to work with in Hornsey, Crouch End, Muswell Hill, Highgate, Alexandra Palace, Haringey Ladder, Finsbury Park, Archway, Highbury&Islington and Angel. I drive and I’m planning to buy a car eventually and I also have a folding bike, so I can be flexible in terms of location.
