My Experience

Working with children is a passion of mine. This summer, I will be on a paediatric placement at the University. Since I was 14, I have been babysitting and helping out with younger family members. I have been a qualified kayaking coach at my local canoe club, helping run the beginning kayak sessions and getting children out on the water. Last summer, I worked at a summer camp in North Carolina, USA, as head of kayaking, working with girls aged 5-17, teaching them how to kayak and helping them grow their confidence when experiencing new situations. I also helped out as a general councillor with everyday activities. Since September, I have also worked as a dietetic intern at the Derbyshire Institute of Sport, helping run and guide nutritional talks for children and young adults aged 7-18.

My Qualifications

FAA level 1 award in awareness of safeguarding (RQF)
Level 2 Health and Social Care (Distinction)
Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety
A level: Biology, Economics and Chemistry (A,A,C)
Currently 3rd Nutrition and Dietetics (Averaging a first)
DBS Certification
NHS Statory mandatory training completed, including level 2 Paediatric Resuscitation

My availability is in the evening and some days over the Christmas holidays as I am back in Wiltshire.
