About Me
My name is Carly and I am an Ofsted registered Childminder (since 2012). I have 3 children of my own (12, 8 and 1) and I am married to my husband Carl. We are in the process of moving to Much Wenlock and we are very excited for this new adventure!
We have a cavapoo dog called Chucky (he's brilliant with the children) and 3 tortoises that like to wander around the garden. My husband used to be a secondary school teacher, but now works from home as a It trainer/manager.
I am a forest school leader and very passionate about outdoor learning. We will have a forest school area in the garden for the children to explore, play, take risks, learn and grown in a safe environment. We like to explore the local area, as well as visit farms, national trust houses and Gardens, Ironbridge museums and much more.
I aim to provide a home from home environment for your child where they feel safe, happy and confident to grown and learn.
As well as full time/part time care, I am happy to provide school runs to Much wenlock primary school and also school holiday care. I have also previously cared for children that are home schooled.
My Experience
I have been a registered Childminder for over 11 years now and have also owned and ran my own nursery.
I have a level 3 qualification in early years and I am currently working towards my level 5.
I have experience working with children with SEND (especially Asd) and also with children with English as a second language.
Before going into childcare, I worked for the NHS training to be a midwife.
