About Me

One of the things I enjoy most about working with children is seeing the world through their eyes. Whether it’s turning a simple walk into an adventure, getting lost in a story together or celebrating the little milestones that mean so much to them, I love being part of those everyday moments that help children learn and grow. I’m naturally patient, kind and calm, and I always want children to feel happy, safe and comfortable enough to be themselves.

In my spare time you’ll usually find me with a good book, out exploring with my dog or enjoying a long walk in the countryside. Being outdoors is something I really value, and I love encouraging children to get fresh air, be active and discover new things through play and exploration. I also enjoy sharing stories, getting creative and finding fun ways to make everyday activities engaging.

I understand that trusting someone with your child is a huge decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I pride myself on being dependable, caring and approachable and I believe strong relationships with both children and parents are built through trust, communication and consistency. My goal is always to create a nurturing environment where children feel supported, encouraged and free to simply enjoy being children.

My Experience

Working as a Teaching Assistant has given me invaluable experience supporting children with a wide range of needs, including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Every child is unique, and I enjoy adapting activities, routines and communication to help each child feel included, understood and confident. I have experience supporting children with a variety of additional needs and understand the importance of patience, consistency and celebrating every achievement, no matter how small.

Safeguarding is at the heart of everything I do. Through my role, I have completed extensive safeguarding training and understand the importance of creating a safe, secure and nurturing environment where children feel protected and supported. I am also first aid trained, giving me the confidence to respond calmly and appropriately should a child ever need assistance.

Working closely with teachers, parents and other professionals has taught me the value of clear communication and building positive relationships. I always strive to provide the highest standard of care, ensuring children not only feel safe but also happy, encouraged and able to reach their full potential. I bring the same level of dedication, compassion and professionalism to every family I work with.

My Qualifications

Alongside my hands-on experience, I have completed safeguarding and first aid training, giving me the knowledge and confidence to provide safe, high-quality care. However, I believe my greatest qualification is the experience I’ve gained working as a Teaching Assistant, supporting children every day, including those with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role has helped me develop patience, adaptability and a calm approach, while teaching me how to build trusting relationships and support each child’s individual needs. I bring that same level of care, professionalism and dedication to every family I work with.

My Availability

I’m currently available for childcare on weekday evenings from 4:00pm onwards, making me a great option for after-school care, evening babysitting or helping out when parents have work or other commitments. I also have full availability on weekends, so I’m happy to provide daytime, evening or longer childcare where needed. I’m flexible where possible and understand that family schedules can change, so I’ll always do my best to accommodate requests whenever I can.
