My Experience

I have worked in childcare for the past six years. The first 2 years I was supporting a family with their three young children (3 years, 18 months, 2 months). I was responsible for supporting the mother as recently gave birth and following the family’s specific daily routines, as well as providing entertainment and preparing food throughout the day.

I then joined on to a nursery while studying my level 3 diploma in early years childcare. During this time I would set up engaging activity’s that supports specific development goals working within the 7 areas of development.This also allowed me to develop an array of skills such as potty training, food safety and preparation, safeguarding…

For just over a year now I have been working as a room leader within the Under’s Room (4 months-2 years) within the nursery. This has helped me develop clear communication skills with parents as well as my staff within the room. During this role I was responsible for implementing and enforcing policies and procedures within my room while still providing the upmost care for the children.
