Night Nanny with Special Needs Experience Job in London
About Me
Warm and friendly family of four looking for an extra pair of hands to help out on weekends.
My Requirements
We’re looking for a gentle, empathetic night carer to help us three or four nights a week, with the possibility of some daytime hours too (on alternate days). The main duty is overnight care for our son Max, who has cerebral palsy — primarily repositioning him twice over night. Max cannot walk or talk but communicates brilliantly through an eyegaze device and is extremely bright, so warmth and patience matter more than experience with a specific condition. He sleeps well most of the night most of the time,m, so most of your time will be out of his bedroom downstairs. No specialist background required, but you should be calm under pressure and comfortable with a caring, hands-on role. We are looking for someone for the long term.
During any daytime hours, duties might include helping Max with play, crafts, or trips out, or looking after his baby brother Laurie while we take Max to an activity. Some light housekeeping — keeping the kitchen tidy, sorting toys — would also be part of the role.
We’d love someone open to occasional travel with us on holiday. If this sounds like you, please get in touch.
