My Experience

Hi, I’m Helen - a warm, caring and reliable mum with 3 years experience caring for children aged 0–10 in their home environment and out and about in the local area.

I’ve supported several local families with school and nursery pickups, after-school routines, meal times, creative play, outings, and calm wind-downs at the end of the day.

I’m also a parent to a teenage son with Autism, ADHD and additional complex needs, which has given me a deep understanding of children’s individual personalities and the importance of patient, calm, responsive care.

My approach is gentle and nurturing, helping children feel safe, happy and understood. I focus on creating a calm, low-pressure environment where children can feel secure and enjoy their time.

I hold a full driving licence and have access to my own vehicle. Positive references from families I’ve worked with are available.

I currently offer casual, part-time, and school holiday childcare. I work best with arrangements that have agreed days/hours, allowing consistency and routine for both children and families.

Introductory or trial visits over 30 minutes are charged at my standard hourly rate. This allows time for meaningful interaction and helps ensure the arrangement is a good fit for both the child and family.

I also offer overnight childcare in certain circumstances (flat nightly rate agreed in advance depending on responsibilities and frequency). Please message to discuss availability and pricing.

My rates reflect the level of care, responsibility, and experience involved. Any care requiring additional support, flexibility, or responsibility will be discussed openly before confirming arrangements.

Level 3 in Paediatric 12 Hour Infant/ Child First Aid

NFCE level 2 in Awareness of Mental Health Problems

Level 3 in Helping with Special Educational Needs in Primary Schools

GCSE English Grade A

GCSE Science Grade C

GCSE Mathematics Grade C

A levels Grade C in Health and Social Care Double Award

My Availability

I am available most weekdays and some weekends.
• I am unavailable on Tuesdays.
• On a rotating basis, I am unavailable either Friday or Saturday (alternating weekly).

My Fees

• Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)

£14 per hour – Daytime childminding (school hours, holiday care, etc.)

£15 per hour – Evening care (from 7pm)

£16 per hour - late evening care (from 10pm onwards)

£17 per hour – Bank holiday care

Minimum booking: 2 hours
