My Requirements

We’re a friendly family based in North Dorset with a little boy who will be approaching 3 years old. From January 2026, he’ll be starting preschool near Blandford (Dorset), and we’re looking for a nurturing, reliable and engaging caregiver to join us.

Hours:
• Around 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday)
• Flexibility is appreciated, as hours may vary occasionally depending on work commitments
• I don’t work Fridays, Bank Holidays or weekends, but if you’d prefer a minimum number of hours each week, we can occasionally swap a Bank Holiday week day for a Friday

We’re two working parents, and our ideal arrangement would provide a stable, loving and consistent environment where our son can thrive — somewhere that offers plenty of fun, creativity and outdoor play, but also calm time for rest around his preschool routine.

Practical details:
• We’ll need help around preschool hours, plus cover during:
• Half terms
• Easter
• Christmas
• Summer holidays (around 6–8 weeks)
• If you’re looking for more regular hours, preschool drop-offs/pick-ups and after-school care until 6pm could be included, though this isn’t essential — we can arrange wraparound care directly with the preschool if needed.
• Driving is essential, as we live in a rural village with no public transport.
