My Summary

My Experience

I volunteered in my church for a year as part of our kids club to help set up tasks and activities to keep the children engaged and promote enjoyment.

I also volunteered for charities called home start and sure start which are programme designed to support parents with children aged under four years old, living in disadvantaged areas in Northern Ireland. I was responsible for helping children learn new skills such as finger painting, drawing and reading.

As part of my nurse training I assisted a health visitor where I had to accompany her on house visits to check in on children front the ages of 0-5. This allowed me to gain a better insight on baby feeding, sleeping and hygiene.

I also was required to do a placement in a nursing home for adults with dementia. I learnt many transferable skills such as how to maintain dignity, respect and provide high quality care especially to those who are vulnerable. I was required to help feed, wash and dress the residents along as getting involved in activities during the day to keep their minds stimulated.

My Qualifications

I have 9 GCSE’s
My A levels consisted in AAB
A business, A health and social care, B home economics.

Achieved the PCertLAM qualification.

St Johns Ambulance achieved the first level qualification.
