Personal Assistant (PA) Job Advert.

?Job Title: Personal Assistant / 1:1 Support Worker

Location: Manea / North Cambridgeshire]
Hours: 3 hours, one Saturday a month, times to be arranged.

Pay Rate: £13 per hour, National Insurance, Tax and Holiday pay to be discussed. Direct payment from Local Authority.

?About the Role:
We are looking for an empathetic, energetic, and reliable Personal Assistant to support a bright 6-year-old boy with social, emotional, and sensory needs.
?The goal of this role is to provide engaging 1-to-1 support, help him access activities he loves, build confidence, and offer structured respite for the family.

?Key Responsibilities:
?Engaging in Interests: Supporting and joining in with interactive play, creative activities, and outdoor exploration.

?Routine & Regulation: Supporting emotional regulation using clear, calm communication and low-arousal approaches.

?Outing Support: Accompanying him on short local trips (e.g., parks, quiet local venues) safely.

?Personal & Social Care: Encouraging independence with simple routines and ensuring a safe, supportive environment.

?About You :
?Patient, positive, and adaptable with a naturally calm presence.
?Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN/SEMH) or neurodivergent profiles is highly desirable.
?Knowledge of positive behavior support, emotional literacy, or therapeutic play methods.
?Driver with a clean license and access to a car is preferred (for local outings).
?Enhanced DBS check required (can be processed upon hire).
