About Me

Hello! I am Maria, a registered childminder living in Auchinairn. I love working with children and welcome families of all backgrounds and religion to encourage a multicultural environment. I have been married for 5 years and have a little boy.

I am a member of the Scottish Childminder Association, which helps me keep up to date on all relevant changes in legislation and policy relating to my business. I also attend a local childminding group which gives me the opportunity to learn and supported by my peers.
As a childminder in Scotland my setting is registered and regularly inspected by the Care Inspectorate. I comply with all aspects of their registration requirements and hold a registration certificate.

As a childminder my aims are to always offer a good flexible child care service within a happy, safe, secure and loving environment, where children can grow and develop into their full potential. All children with in my care will be supervised at all times in which will provide a physically secure environment. We visit local parks, libraries, play groups, stay and play, and many more outing.

Description of the service:
I understand how difficult it is for parents to leave their child with a childminder when they return to work etc. I therefore work with parents to ensure that their child is firmly settled in and parents are happy with the level of care that I provide them with. The service is available weekdays from 7am-6pm. I also provide a service during school holidays, evenings and weekends.
The service that I provide is run from my own home and so it is my priority to create a homely and welcoming atmosphere for all children in my care to relax, play and have fun with each other in a safe environment. Some rooms on the ground floor (lounge, dining room, toilet/shower room, and access to a secure garden) are available to the children in my care.
I can accompany children on the 20-minute walk to the local primary schools (Wallacewell Primary School).
