About Me

Hi , my name is Michelle and im an ofsted registered childminder in twickenham . I offer a warm, friendly under 3s childcare setting, where children stay with me until the end of the term following their third birthday. My aim is to provide a true home from home environment where children feel safe, secure and happy to learn at their own pace.

My setting is based in my family home and benefits from a large, secure garden, which the children use daily. Outdoor play is a big part of our routine, and I place a strong emphasis on learning through play, with lots of opportunities for children to explore, investigate and develop their independence. We also have a play cabin in the garden, which provides an additional dedicated space for play and learning. The cabin is stocked with a wide range of lovely, high quality resources, including a large collection of traditional wooden toys and many open ended resources. These carefully chosen materials support children’s development and help to extend learning through play, encouraging imagination, problem solving and independent exploration.

I am passionate about learning through nature and the seasons, incorporating natural resources, outdoor experiences and seasonal activities into our days. We also regularly attend a variety of local groups, including playgroups, music sessions and library visits. We make the most of the beautiful area we live in with trips to local parks and feeding the ducks, helping children develop a love of the outdoors and their community.

I provide a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment, where every child is valued as an individual. I offer funded childcare and Tax Free Childcare to support families.

I am paediatric first aid trained, fully insured and DBS checked, and have completed all required safeguarding and EYFS training. I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attend additional training to ensure I provide the best possible care and learning opportunities for the children.

As a mother of six children myself, ranging from their mid 20s down to 8 years old, I bring many years of hands on parenting and childcare experience. This, combined with my professional training, allows me to offer a calm, understanding and experienced approach to caring for young children.
