About Me
I am an open-minded, dependable individual who has loved working with children for over 4 years. I love to work in groups as well as work independently and I am always up for a challenge. I love to meet new people and I am always have to lend a hand when needed. I am very family orientated which has influenced my love for working with children as well as their parents so that they receive all the support possible. I have always loved musical theatre which has really helped me to gain confidence. As a child I was part of a theatre group and as I got older I focused more on my voice, completing grades 4-8 musical theatre singing exams.
My Experience
My first job was at my local theatre group in 2019-2021 assisting the children with drama singing and dancing. I also became a student teacher at my singing school in 2019 until early 2024 when my teacher asked me to become an assistant teacher. I have also worked at Lazer Lions as a camp manager and have run many children’s parties.
In Summer 2024 I worked at a summer camp for people with disabilities and special needs and learnt how to carry out personal care, lift people out of wheelchairs safely and provide them with opportunities they don’t usually have.
I am currently working at a specialist secondary school as a learning support assistant so have got a lot of experience with children with all ages between 4 months and 16 years!
