You'll be supporting our daughter, Iris, who is 8 years old and in Year 4. Iris is a bright, creative, and energetic child who loves Minecraft, singing, dancing, drama, and anything that lets her use her imagination. She has a diagnosis of ADHD and is currently being assessed for autism, so we're looking for someone who can provide patient, understanding, and consistent support.
As a family, we love travelling, exploring new places, getting outdoors, and going on adventures together. Whether it's a day trip, time in the countryside, or trying something new, we're happiest when we're making memories as a family.
We're looking for someone who will become a valued part of our family team, helping Iris thrive while also supporting us with the day-to-day demands of family life. We value kindness, reliability, flexibility, and a positive sense of humour.
My Requirements
We're looking for a kind, proactive Family Assistant to support our family two to three days a week.
The role includes school runs, childcare, and spending time with our daughter, Iris, who has additional needs and finds traditional before and after-school clubs difficult. During term time, this would involve school drop-offs and collections, supporting activities at home, and accompanying Iris to extracurricular clubs when required.
We're also looking for someone who can provide practical support around the home. Mum, Roxy, is recovering from extensive back surgery while continuing to run her own business, so light household help, organisation, and general assistance would be a valuable part of the role.
The position is around 10 hours per week with flexibility around days and times. A full driving licence and your own vehicle are essential due to our rural location and the lack of safe walking or public transport links between home and school.
