About Me
I offer wraparound childcare, including picking up from school on select days, taking to and from clubs, evening and bedtime routines, and am able to do light housework if needed. I am happy to to help with morning routines and breakfast and can assist with preparing dinner. I also can offer morning routines and school drop off on some days. I am also able to assist with homework and additional activities such as reading. From September I will be taking some am DBS checked and have a level 2 food hygiene qualification, and am aiming to complete paediatric first aid training as soon as possible. I am punctual and reliable and good with time management, I have a full, clean drivers license and my own car. I am happy to take on household cleaning such as laundry, dishwashing, and general cleaning such as hoovering and sweeping.
My Experience
I have worked at an after school club for the last year with children ages 4-10, which included preparing snacks, playing outside, doing arts and craft projects, reading together, and playing group games. I was a leader at my local cub group for 4 years which consisted of a range of activities, including teaching household skills such as ironing, cooking and sewing, outdoor skills such as map reading, camping and cooking outdoors. These children were ages 8-10. For the last 5 years, I have been a badminton coach for children aged 7-18 with various abilities, meaning I have experience working with children with a huge range of ages, abilities and needs in multiple areas of life. It has also given me perspective on how to communicate with different children and how best to understand them and their needs.
My Qualifications
I have an enhanced DBS check, and have a food hygiene level 2 qualification. I have knowledge in safeguarding due to previous work experience and my college course, and I am happy to complete safeguarding training. I am aiming to complete my paediatric first aid at college in the new few months however if provided by the family I am happy to complete this asap, and have also been previously first aid trained. I am halfway through a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care which I will complete in May.
My Availability
Monday: Before school including school drop off; afternoon from 2pm and after school which can include taking to and collecting from clubs.
Tuesday: Evening from 5pm
Wednesday: Before school and drop off and morning until midday
Thursday: Before school and drop off and evening, can possibly do school collection when needed
