Hi there, my name is Bea and I am 29 years old.
I have worked with children of all ages throughout my life in a variety of settings. I have a passion for creativity and the outdoors. I think they are both great ways for babies and children to learn about themselves, the world and create space for regulation and expression. I love to play and create games whilst understanding the importance of this being child lead. I am passionate about cooking and understand the importance of making and eating healthy food to fuel our bodies. It is also a great place for imagination and creation.
My Experience
As a teenager my family fostered babies to young people, so I have always been around and responsible for different aged children. At university it was a requirement to facilitate creative and circus workshops for children of varying ages. I was also part of a project working with Zoie Logic to facilitate a series of dance workshop to bring together neurodiverse and neurotypical children for their Autism Awareness Project.
In 2020-2021 I worked with adults with multiple and complex needs, those who are differently abled and service uses with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I added this because although it was with adults I learned so much from the amazing people I worked with and have brought this into future roles.
In 2021 I was a nanny to a 3.5 month old baby for a year, helping her to thrive and explore the world, as well completing household chores. My last job was as a youth worker working with children and young adults. I worked 1-2-1, ran youth club sessions and worked in an alternative learning provision. The variety of roles has lead me to have a deeper understanding of engagement and developing person centred experiences.
My Qualifications
I have a 1st Class BA Hons Degree in Street Performance, I have 4 A levels and 10 GCSE's (all A-C including Maths, English and Science).
I became qualified in 2020 as a Level Four Holistic Massage Therapist and then went onto complete a short course in women's health massage. In 2021 I completed a Level One Welding award with City and Guilds and having recently returned from India I studied for a 200 hour yoga course.

The service I provide is very unique and engaging. I facilitate space for babies and children to be able to express themselves and explore the world; whilst being able to tailoring activities or food to specific needs. I have experience working with children with social, emotional, mental health and additional needs. I am capable of managing childcare and home management tasks to support parents more fully.
