I strongly believe that children thrive in the outdoors and love to watch them explore nature and their surroundings, whatever the weather (there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing!) I also love to cook and bake so you can ensure your child will receive home cooked meals and snacks when in my care.
I've been living in Colchester since March 2023 with my husband and our two year old son. We are so lucky to have amazing access to everything Colchester Town has to offer with many parks & attractions being even within walking distance for tiny legs. Everyday I make an effort to get my son and mindees outdoors even if it's just for a short walk for fresh air and observation time but we also love our longer trips too!
I previously worked in a popular all day forest school in London and have also spent summers working at summer camps in America as both a camp counsellor and a wilderness leader. I was an Au Pair in Australia for two little boys with whom we went out every day to explore. I love to watch children exploring and learning nature and I'm currently taking a course on Hygge in the Early Years focusing on getting children outside.
Whether we are putting on suncream or waterproofs we know we will be having fun while learning & developing new skills!
My Experience
I am registered with the agency and have completed training directly with them as well as also holding a level 2 in childcare and development with years of experience as a babysitter, live-in Au Pair, camp counsellor/wilderness leader, nursery assistant and forest school educator. I also have a two year old son of my own.
My Qualifications
Fully trained including Safeguarding, Food Hygiene, FGM and Duty to prevent.
Up to date First Aid Certificate with Tigerlily.
Level 2 in Childcare and Development.

Space currently available full day Mondays and Thursdays plus Friday until 2pm

Prices start from £7 with offers available for those with full day placements. Funding and tax free childcare are also available
