My Requirements

We are looking for a caring and reliable babysitter with lots of energy to care for our 9-year-old autistic boy (1 or 2 days per week after school and/or at weekends). The babysitter's primary responsibilities would include caring for our son in our home and garden and taking him to the park, playground, soft play, or similar places.

Our son is a very smiley, active and sensory-seeking boy who loves physical play, walks in his buggy, outings to the park, going to the soft play, and swimming. He is also passionate about the alphabet, numbers, colours and shapes. He enjoys nursery rhymes and loves sensory activities and messy/water play.

Our son has autism and a learning disability. He attends a special school. Our son communicates in single words and uses an AAC app. He needs help with all personal care and always requires 1-1 supervision. When he is dysregulated, he needs support to manage his behaviour.

When out and about, he uses a buggy to stay safe, although he also gets plenty of opportunities to run around and use his energy. He is very fast!
