My Experience
Babysitting (Within Family)
I’ve cared for my younger brother since he was four years old — he’s now 13. During times when my mum was in hospital, I took full responsibility for him throughout the day, including preparing meals, helping with homework, organising activities, and managing his bedtime routine. My brother has special needs, so I focus on keeping a calm, structured routine to help him feel comfortable and secure.
Teaching Assistant (Work Experience)
As part of my work experience, I assisted in a primary school with nursery and reception children. My role involved supporting the teacher with reading and writing activities, helping children with creative tasks such as painting and drawing, supervising playtime, and assisting during snack and lunch breaks. This experience gave me valuable insight into child development, communication, and creating a positive, engaging environment for young learners.
