We have a nanny-housekeeper position open with our family to start in June 2025 (or a little later if needed). Brief details are below:
Family: Professional (doctor scientist at Oxford University & CEO) international family (German-British and British-Portuguese) with 2 year old son, and expecting a new baby in August. Step children aged 14 and 16 (soon to be 15 and 17) live with us every alternative week.
Hours and days: 4-5 days/week, 5 hours a day - flexible based on your and our requirements
Position: offered as employed (with Pension, PAYE etc) or self employed
Salary: Depending of whether position is taken up as employed (with Pension, PAYE etc) or self employed. Gross hourly rate negotiable, & based on experience.
Driving license and own car: essential
Job description: the core of the job is nannying and childcare for the 2 year old, and the baby, when she baby arrives - as mother's help transitioning to nannying when the baby is 6 months. This will be supplemented by light housekeeping (not cleaning, we have dedicated cleaners and gardeners) - including laundry and bed linen (including select ironing), preparing children's meals (and occasional family meals), collecting post, light dusting/tidying/housekeeping, occasional shopping as requested, occasional pick ups and drop offs from nursery, taking toddlers to activities such as music (Stringbeans), library outings and other activities (TBD together with you) in Witney.
Personal specs: Highly motivated, organised person who wants to make a positive contribution to a busy, motivated, hardworking family - and stimulate the children in a positive, healthy manner with arts, crafts, walks in the garden, lots of reading and responsive-play. Independent working resourcefulness and can-do attitude essential. Kindness to the little ones is essential.
