About Me
I am an OFSTED registered childminder rated Strong Standard in all areas based in Whitefield. I have a qualified assistant and we offer before and afterschool club to Mersey Drive Primary School. We have a cockapoo called Kenny on site.
My Experience
My first taste of a child care experience was when I completed my work experience in a local primary school.
I qualified in 2012; after I left school and completed my Level 3 in Childcare and have since progressed to Early Years Initial Teacher Trained and SENDCO
I have expecience with a range of children with different needs from being based with children to being part of the admin side.
Pauline qualified in 2025, she completed her Level 3 in Childcare as my apprentice and has taken part in many courses! She has experience working with children that are Deaf, have ADHD, Autism, Speech and Language delay.
We had OFSTED for the first time in March 2026, we reciveved Strong Standard in all areas!

£50 per day 730-1800
Funded hours
15 hours (7.5 hour days x2 or 5 hours days x3)
30 hours (10 hour days x3 or 7.5 hour days x4)
£6.50 for every top up hour
£5.50 food per day (£1 breakfast, £1 snacks, £2 dinner, £1.50 tea)

Sophie and Pauline are amazing, my little one has been with her since 10 months and has done amazing and is so ready for school thanks to these 2, they've done amazing at every step and I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of him over the last couple years. I love the home from home environment and he really does love them and everyone he attends with. It's so much more than just someone looking after your child, they really do put so much into the childs development and they keep everything interesting for the kids from weekly themed activities to nature outings. Truly 10/10 childcare.

My son absolutely loves the days he spends with Sophie and Pauline! He has come on leaps and bounds with his speech and language whilst being here, amongst other things. They are always there to give any advice if needed, he is now fully potty trained and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without their help and support. Any incidents are always reported straight away and the day to day activities are always posted on the app, which is great for my peace of mind and it’s always nice seeing what they get up to throughout the day. I would highly recommend Sophie’s little stars to everyone x

Im so glad you're happy. He's a lovely little character and he wouldnt have made those milestones with you!
Sophie is brilliant and treats my little girl as part of her family. Sophie tailors activities to suit her interests as well as her specific needs. A wide variety of activities are provided within the home and out in the garden. Sophie provides healthy meals and appropriate and varied alternatives to cater for my daughters difficulties with food. It's a lovely clean home. We are updated often via an app. Sophie supports our parentjng decisions and preferences. She has been really supportive in the application for funded hours too.
