About Me

Hi, I'm Lucy, a qualified primary school teacher and childminder. I'm mummy to three children aged 12, 9 and 4 and live in Sandford, Wareham. I offer a home from home setting, where your little one can relax and have fun whilst learning and developing. Following a gentle parenting ethos, I want children in my care to feel happy and secure, so work with parents to support their children from joining me, as they grow and learn to preparing them for primary school. I believe children learn best through play, so offer a wealth of opportunities for play and exploration. We love to go out and about and enjoy local forests, beaches, National Trust properties and heathland. We attend toddler groups, singing groups, visit the library, local farms and gymnastics club to name but a few! As a teacher, I strive to ensure your child learns and develops as they play and follow seasonal themes and children's interests to support learning. Feel free to contact me for an informal chat.

My Experience

I have 15 years of early years and primary teaching experience and have been an Ofsted registered childminder for the past 3 years. I regularly attend courses to develop my practice and support the children in my care.
