About Me
Hello, and thank you for reading my profile.
I’m starting to look ahead for childcare options for when my son turns 5 (or possibly a little earlier), as I know many childminders have waiting lists. He is currently almost 3, and I’m simply putting feelers out to understand what may be possible in the future.
I’m exploring ways to make home education or flexi?schooling work alongside my part?time career, which may occasionally involve unsocial hours. Because of this, I’m hoping to connect early with childminders, babysitters, or nannies who feel aligned with our approach.
We follow a gentle, child?led, nature?focused, Montessori?inspired style at home. Someone who enjoys outdoor play, nature walks, practical life activities, and learning through play would be a wonderful fit.
I am currently based in Hadleigh, but I can also consider:
• Rayleigh
• Southend
• Westcliff
• Leigh
• Laindon
• Langdon Hills
• or further afield for the right person
My Requirements
I’m hoping to connect with people who:
• welcome school?age children
• offer full?day care (8–6ish) with some flexibility
• enjoy nature, outdoor play, and forest?school?style activities
• are open to supporting home?educated or flexi?schooled children
• may have future availability or a waiting list
• are comfortable with occasional early starts (from 7.30am) or later finishes (up to 8pm) by prior agreement
• can offer ad?hoc babysitting
• are open to occasional longer days (8am–6pm) to allow me to work overtime, arranged in advance around your availability
Future childcare needs may include:
• Wednesdays after 3pm into the evening
• Wraparound care on school/flexi?school days (ideally Tues & Thurs)
• Ad?hoc weekends (if available)
• School holidays — especially Tues & Thurs, with some flexibility
• Occasional longer days (8am–6pm) on any weekday
• Occasional early starts (from 7.30am)
• Occasional later finishes (up to 8pm)
• Ad?hoc babysitting
