About Me

Hello my name is Abbie! Looking after children comes to me naturally and it’s something I genuinely enjoy doing, I always end the day feeling like I’ve actually had a good one after taking care of them. I’m great with matching a child’s energy, if they’re calm I can be too, but don’t think I don’t have a fun side! I always make sure that the child I’m looking after is comfortable with me, I ask them questions to get to know them and see what things they like. I am up to do whatever they’d like to do, as long as it is of course safe.

My Experience

I have experience with a family of 2 children, aged 5 and 9. I pick the 5 year old up from school every Thursday and she comes to my house and walks my doggies with me as well as doing other fun things, we’re like little best friends. The 9 year old boy has autism and is very fond of me, I took a quick understanding of his needs and I am now one of the only 4 people he will hug! They’re like a second family to me, I am hoping to be able to gain more bonds with little ones through this process.

My Qualifications

I don’t have qualifications within childcare but I do have experience from working in a nursery, taking care of my younger brother, my little cousins and other children.
