My name is Abbie and I am 20 years old, something I love to do is reading and going on walks whether that’s on my own or with my dogs. Looking after children makes my day and is something I genuinely enjoy doing, when I take care of children, I always end the day feeling like I’ve actually had a good one. I’m great with matching a child’s energy, if they’re calm I can be too, but don’t think I don’t have a fun side! I always make sure that the child I’m looking after is comfortable with me, I ask them questions to get to know them and see what things they like. I am up to do whatever they’d like to do, as long as it is of course safe.
My Experience
I’ve been around children my whole life and always got along with them and still do! As I grew up, I’ve taken care of my younger brother who is currently 9 years old. I have also looked after my neighbours 2 children recently and they took to me very quickly and well. I have lots of younger cousins around the ages of 1-11 that I usually play with rather than hanging out with the adults because I get along with them easier.
My Qualifications
I don’t have qualifications within childcare but I do have experience from taking care of my younger brother, my little cousins and other children.
