About Me
My name is Firuja Begum, and I am a dedicated child minder residing in a spacious 3-bedroom maisonette located in Manor Park, Newham. As a child minder, I offer a diverse range of activities to engage and stimulate the children under my care. From painting, blocks, books, puzzle etc. I ensure that there are ample opportunities for creative expression and physical development. With a large front garden, I provide a generous space for outdoor activities such as gardening, sports, messy play, playing football, sand/water, riding bikes, etc. Alongside these activities, I prioritize the social, emotional, and physical development of the children, serving as a positive role model and encouraging their independence. Additionally, I organize outings to places like the library, park, and local community centre, fostering a sense of exploration and community engagement. I have a passion for gardening , reading , sewing , sports ( badminton and swimming ) cooking and nurturing young minds.
My Experience
I have been working as a Ofsted Registered child minder for the past 14 years, starting in 2009. In addition to caring for my own three children, who are now aged 24, 21, and 16, I have gained extensive experience in understanding and adapting to new norms in child care, including the care of my 6-month-old grandchild. Prior to my child minding role, I also worked in a nursery, further enhancing my knowledge and skills in this field. With 21 years of driving experience, I am able to provide safe transportation for the children under my care. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in the community, offering my assistance at the local community centre and engaging in various community-oriented activities. This diverse range of experiences has allowed me to develop a keen eye for observing children and their behaviours, enabling me to provide attentive and nurturing care.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young people’s workforce (QCF), Paediatric First Aid, Triple P (Positive Parenting Program), Level 2-Food Safety in Catering, Level 2-Designated Safeguard and Prevent Duty Officer, Level 2-Health and Safety, Level 2-Supporting individual children with learning disabilities (SENCO), Food and nutrition for infants, Food and nutrition for toddlers, Physical activity guidelines training and Seen and Heard programme.
I have been driving for 21 years with clean UK driving license and have my own fully insured car.
