About Me
I have 3 children, a 21-year-old daughter, a 6-year-old son, and an 18-month-old boy. I work from home full-time, and my partner works shifts. Both my partner and I are Portuguese, but we speak English at home. We live in a 3-bed house in DA12.
My Requirements
I am looking for a private tutor to help my 6-year-old son, who is struggling to adapt to Year 2. He is an August-born baby, which makes him the youngest in year 2.
He has always loved going to school; however, since starting year 2, he HATES it. He is struggling with the work, he is not understanding, and he is losing focus. He says things like I am not clever, I am stupid, I get everything wrong and he begs me not to send him to school.
Trying to do his homework with him is very hard, as i feel like I have to give him the answers, as I am unsure how to teach him.
I am looking for someone who can make learning FUN - keep him engaged and build his confidence. He also has some speech difficulties that the school have brushed off as 'normal'.
