My Experience

I have been a tutor for eleven years.

I was an English teacher in Japan, working with primary, secondary and special education students.

I was a carer for my younger brother, who has moderate-severe autism, for ten years. As his career, my duties were to school pick-ups, helping with homework, life skills training, laundry, cooking, checking that his bags were packed correctly, corresponding with the school, teaching him manners and how to read social situations.

I was a special education governess from May 2024 to June 2025. The child I worked with had high-need autism, and needed similar care to a two-year-old child; therefore, I have experience with potty training, nappy changing, early-ears education, language acquisition, and emotional regulation.

I have worked as a travelling governess for the last year, and have thoroughly enjoyed my time with the family. I have worked in France, the US, and the UK, ensuring that the home-schooling routine remained consistent. The family are due to return to the US, and then the boys will attend full-time school; therefore, I am looking for a new role as a governess or nanny.

My Qualifications

PhD in English literature (ongoing)
Paediatric First Aid (expires December 2026)
Master's degree in English literature
Four-year Bachelor's degree in Drama Studies and English
150 Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate
Four A-levels (A*-C) (9-4)
9 GCSEs (A*-C) (9-4) including maths and English

My Availability

I am happy to work the occasional weekend, overnight, or evening with advance notice or in the event of an emergency.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
• Nannying from £22.00 per hour (gross)

Negotiable, as it depends on the conditions of the job (e.g. live-in, live out, number of children, time or day, additional duties)
