About Me

We are a warm French family living between the Commons in Clapham, with two boys aged 9 and 11. We are looking for a caring, capable person who would enjoy becoming a trusted part of our weekday routine. The role is Monday to Friday, 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Our nine-year-old is the main focus. You would collect him from school, help him settle with a snack, and guide reading, light homework, and instrument practice. Our eleven-year-old makes his own way home from senior school.

We would love someone who connects naturally with both boys and brings a calm, positive approach to the afternoon. Preparing dinner is an important part of the role. We are looking for someone who enjoys cooking healthy, tasty meals for our family of four. We will work together on menus and the online food shop, and you would take responsibility for having dinner ready at 6:30 p.m. At that point, we take over and sit down together for our family meal.

The boys have clubs, activities, and sports fixtures, so we also need help keeping their schedule on track and preparing what they need. There are some light tasks related to the children and their belongings, but we have a housekeeper for general cleaning.

Most weeks follow the regular hours. Occasionally, we may ask for a paid later finish or evening babysitting and, very rarely, an early start or overnight stay. We will give as much notice as possible.

We hope to find someone reliable, kind, and proactive, with experience caring for school-age children, confident supporting their routine, and an interest in family cooking. Driving would be helpful but is not essential.
