Rita
Nanny in London: Wandsworth (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
My name is Rita, I am 27 years old and originally from Portugal. I moved to the UK in 2018 to study at university, where I completed a degree in Public Relations and Communications. Over the past five years, I have worked as a nanny and have discovered how much I genuinely enjoy working with children and being part of their everyday lives.
I am a caring, responsible and creative person who enjoys creating a fun, positive and nurturing environment for children. I particularly love organising creative activities, games and outings that keep children engaged and allow them to learn and explore. I am also confident preparing meals, helping with homework, managing routines and assisting with light household tasks.
Wellbeing is very important to me, and I believe that healthy habits can be encouraged from an early age in a positive and enjoyable way. I am mindful of balanced eating, staying active and creating healthy daily routines, while always respecting each child’s individual needs and the preferences and routines of their family.
Throughout my childcare experience, I have cared for children of different ages, including newborns, toddlers and school-aged children, and have worked with multiple children at a time. I understand the importance of being reliable, patient and adaptable, while also building a strong and trusting relationship with both children and their families.
I am available most days during the week and am also flexible to work weekends. I would love the opportunity to support another family and bring the same care, enthusiasm and commitment to their children.

Provided sole care for the children for extended periods when parents travelled for work, including a full week of live-in childcare.
During live-in periods, independently managed school drop-offs and pick-ups, meals, routines and weekend activities, including coordinating extracurricular sports and other activities.
Developed a high level of trust with the family through reliability, discretion, initiative and consistent care.
Additional Childcare Experience
Alongside my most recent full-time nanny position, I have gained extensive experience working with multiple families and caring for children of different ages, including newborns, toddlers and school-aged children. My experience includes caring for 2–3 children at a time, providing regular school pick-ups and drop-offs, preparing meals, assisting with homework, organising age-appropriate activities and maintaining children’s routines until parents return from work. I have also cared for a baby from four months old, developing strong experience in newborn and infant care.
Previously, I worked as a Kids Club Leader at a resort, delivering full-day programmes of creative, educational and recreational activities, including arts and crafts, tie-dye, treasure hunts, games and movie nights, as well as supervising children during mealtimes. I also worked as a part-time nanny for a family of four children aged 2–10, supporting homework, after-school activities and bedtime routines. Additionally, I volunteered as a Teaching Assistant at a nursery, working with children aged 2–4 and assisting with planned activities, mealtimes and nap routines. I have also undertaken various babysitting and nannying positions, further developing my ability to adapt to different families, age groups and childcare needs.
