Hello,
My name is Janice and I am an Ofsted-registered childminder and qualified Early Years Teacher with over 30 years’ experience working with children under five.
Lorene’s House is a warm, welcoming, family-run setting where children can learn, play and thrive. Working alongside my daughter as co-childminder and my niece as our assistant, we provide high-quality care in a safe, nurturing environment.
Our setting includes a child-friendly garden, a dedicated sensory room for babies and a separate play and learning room for older children, with high-quality resources to support every child’s development.

My Experience
I have over 30 years’ experience working with children across schools, hospitals and community settings as a Child Development Practitioner. As a qualified Early Years Teacher, I have extensive knowledge of child development and the key skills children need to thrive. I use this experience to support each child’s individual needs, learning and development.
My Qualifications
Early Childhood Studies BA
Safeguarding
Paediatric First Aid
Breast Feeding
Potty training
My Availability
My core hours are 8-5.30pm, Monday- Thursday
(Fridays are a possibility with enough numbers)
I currently have availability 2 children
My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Childminding rates are £90 per day with a minimum 3 day booking.

My 1 year old is currently attending this setting and I cannot put into words how wonderful Janice and her daughter are, my 1 year old is very loving and a joy to be around. R has started picking up words and I can see a development in social skills. I am very happy and certainly recommend if you want peace of mind.
